Indigenous Relations Training

“When we know better, we do better.” Anne believes firmly that the path to a future where all Canadians have the opportunity to benefit and prosper from this great country starts with education about the shared history among Indigenous and all Canadians. Together with Indigenous community members, Anne has co-developed and co-led learning programs for all types and sizes of groups.

All Indigenous inclusion training that is offered by Forum Community Relations includes both Indigenous and settler perspectives and presenters. Anne and her Indigenous partners believe that this co-creation approach provides a fulsome experience for training participants and effectively models reconciliation and right relations among Indigenous and all Canadians.

Indigenous trainers who work with Anne include: Mike Lickers (Haudenosaunee), Elder Doreen Healy (Blackfoot), Art Cunningham (Métis), Dawn Wambold (Métis), Teneya Gwin (Cree/Métis), Steve Francis (Cree), Andrea Hansen (Inuit), Dawn Wambold (Métis), Gregory John (Métis), Michelle Fournie (Métis), Tenise Day Rider (Blackfoot), Cara Lenoir (Dene), Justin Jimmy (Cree), and Richard Piche (Métis).

As a design firm working with a broad range of communities, it is critical that we grow in our authentic engagement and understanding of the issues and reality of the Canadian Indigenous experience. This work by Forum Community Relations has helped us step forward with more confidence than we would have had without their support.
